Our Mission The American Legion strives to promote a better understanding of the principles of democracy and to inculcate (to impress or teach by frequent instruction) among all people a higher appreciation of the benefits of American citizenship. To serve the needs of all veterans and their families. To fulfill our commitment to community, state, and nation.
The American Legion Vision The American Legion is the nation's largest wartime veterans service organization founded on the values, contributions, and sacrifices, of those who answered the nation's call to arms, therefore we must:
Our Military To thank our military for the fantastic job they are doing, visit the Department of Defense Web Page and sign the a brief message. It takes about 10 seconds. Our Members "Still Serving America" is the motto of The American Legion. The Alton Green Memorial Post 194 is proud to be part of America's largest wartime Veterans Service Organization. There are over 150 Member Veterans in our Post, who continue their service to America by serving St. Augustine and St. Johns County, Florida. Our Meetings
American Legion Post 194 meets the third Sunday of each month at 2 PM.
